All India Cold Chain Seminar 2020 – Ashow by the industry, for the industry

AICCSmoves to Greater Noida, offeringgreater advantages.

All India Cold Chain Seminar (AICCS) is going to mark its 15th edition in 2020 making it the oldest seminar-cum-exhibition. The Federation of Cold Storage Associations of India (FCAOI) is organising the seminar in a new location-Greater Noida, at a newly built world-class exhibition centre, India Expo Centre and Mart from 2-4 July 2020.

AICCS moves to a new destination due to reasons such as new centralised location to target visitors from focused states, accessible location to bring cold storage owners from PAN India, target buyers from North India to visit due to easier reach, Delhi-NCR is the hub of agriculture, floriculture, horticulture as well as meat industry facilitating arrival of more key buyers from these sectors.AICCS is reinvented to cater to the transitioning landscape of the cold chain industry and the evolving business needs of the cold storage industry. The seminar is a congregation of owners and operators of cold storages, service and technology providers, consultants and refrigeration industry experts under a single roof to create business, learning and networking opportunities. Moreover, FCAOI has around 2500 cold storage owners as members, and the association will be inviting them as well to be a part of the show.

Alongside a seminar, there is a dedicated exhibition to bring top brands, innovators and supply chain providers to display revolutionary solutions and ground-breaking technologies encompassing cold storage, refrigeration, ripening chambers, reefer transport, tracking &IoT, packaging, cold storage infrastructure, cold logistics and cold chain supply segments.

India is an agrarian country, being one of the largest producers of fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood and dairy products. However, due to absence of proper infrastructure, transport and storage facility, Indian farmers end up storing the temperature-sensitive crops in an ordinary room and transport them in normal trucks. The result is that the quality and freshness is degraded when the product finally reaches the market. The market all around the world for refrigeration and cold chain is undergoing ground-breaking changes because of increasing number of middle class and affluent community. There are several factors such as gradual shift towards being more health conscious along with the rise in consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables, further propelling the manufacturers to adapt to thrive and offer significant innovation to overcome capacity, infrastructure constraints and reduce logistical risks to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Furthermore, there is a steady rise in the food processing sector and food parks due to various government initiatives, further enabling cold chain growth. The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has sanctioned 39 mega food parks and 298 integrated cold chain projects. MoFPI is focusing on building cold chain infrastructure across the country through Pradhan MantriKisanSampadaYojana (PMKSY). The newly launched schemes include integrated cold chain and value addition infrastructure, mega food parks, creation of backward and forward linkages, creation and expansion of food processing and preservation capacities, agro processing clusters and operation greens. The schemes are focused at stopping post-harvest losses of horticulture and non-horticulture produce by encouraging the creation of cold storages, primary processing & transportation facilities across the country.

All India Cold Chain Seminar is an excellent platform to bring together the cold chain industry and users from across India. This show yields a platform to showcase cold-chain solutions, modernisation techniques, alternate energy solutions and new technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) to overcome the challenges faced by the country.

With new investments pouring in, cold chain industry is in for a disruption, shifting from a single commodity to multi commodity. The tradeshow is going to offer a perfect platform to meet, connect and conduct business with senior decision makers from end-user industries such as cold storage, dairy & ice-cream, meat industry, logistics, food/potato processing, retail and pharma.
