JK Group gets land in Ludhiana to set up corrugated packaging paper manufacturing unit
According to news reports, the JK Group has been allotted land in the Cycle Valley in Ludhiana by the state government. With this new land acquisition, the company plans to invest around Rs 150 crore in the state for a corrugated packaging paper manufacturing unit. The JK has already received the land allotment letter.
Also, a function was held in Chandigarh to welcome the group formally by the Chief Minister. As per reports, there are plans to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility using new technology and machinery imported from different countries.
It will initially procure raw material, which is waste paper, from different parts of the country and supply finished goods, which is corrugated packaging paper, to industries in Punjab and other neighbouring states. The manufacturing unit will help the state of Punjab in achieving its sustainability goals and provide fillip to the waste paper industry ecosystem in the state.
