7000 employees to be given full time jobs by Ecom Express

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated e-commerce activity as more and more people are opting for online delivery amid concern of safety and social distancing. To meet the surge in demand it is expected that logistics, warehousing management and last mile delivery are going to gain traction in the near future.

With many people losing jobs or taking pay cuts due the massive economic disruption, it is a great news that few companies are still hiring. Recently, Ecom Express announced, that it is planning to hire over 7,000 employees for full-time jobs across India in the next two months amid the ongoing pandemic.

"As a provider of logistics services to the e-commerce industry, employees are paramount and a pivot to what we do," Saurabh Deep Singla, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer, Ecom Express said in a statement. "The hiring of new employees is driven by the unprecedented need to keep the supply chain running for e-commerce industry and in ensuring safe and timely deliveries," Singla added.
