Leading warehouse developer, IndoSpace to acquire land parcel in Gurugram

Warehousing and logistics sector is emerging as the most robust sector in the COVID-19 era. In view of that, many new projects are being started, as per reports, leading warehouse and logistics park developer IndoSpace is in talks to acquire 135 acre land parcel in Gurugram, Haryana, for Rs 280 crore to develop a logistics park.

The land parcel along NH-8 belongs to the Uppal Group and several other partners who own stake in it.The land parcel is located right in the middle of the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Ideally, the land is suitable not just for warehousing but also for integrated Industrial Township to promote walk-to-work. The Everstone Group, which has 35 logistics and industrial parks, is looking to expand its presence in North India. Indospace has also joined hands with Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to develop industrial and warehousing parks.

The rising demand from e-commerce and pharma sector is set to drive development of industrial and logistics parks in strategic locations like national capital region. As a result, bigwigs like Indospace are keen to invest in new projects.
