Hero Electric comes together with Zypp Electric to supply e-scooters for enabling last-mile delivery

As per news reports, Hero Electric has announced its collaboration with Gurugram-based start-up Zypp Electric to change its last-mile deliveries from petrol to electric vehicles.

Zypp Electric is aiming to deploy an initial fleet of 1000 e-scooters in the coming months and intends to electrify 100% last-mile delivery by 2025. Under this partnership, an initial order of 1,000 customised Nyx-HX B2B scooters has been placed for catering to Zypp Electric’s business consumer base across major cities.

Hero Electric is planning to provide end-to-end service support through its dealer network along with a dedicated relationship manager for maximum uptime, according to reports. The shift towards electric scooters is going to encourage sustainability in last mile delivery.

Nyx is available in three variants and four options of smart connectivity and can be tailored to suit specific business needs. The company’s objective is to offer a complete solution to B2B partners, which will enhance operational efficiency and reduce logistics cost.

Owing to the coronavirus pandemic, the demand of last mile delivery has increased as more and more people are shopping online as well as ordering food. This partnership is going to cater to the rising demand amid the surge in e-commerce activity.
