Hyderabad-startup introduces eco-friendly bags
As per reports, Hyderabad-based start-up SpruceGel has recently launched its range of eco-friendly and compostable bags. The products range from carry bags, garbage bags, shopping bags, grocery bags and apparel bags to disposable pouches.
The newly launched products are 100 percent biodegradable and compostable under controlled conditions. The bags are made from starch extracted either from corn or sugarcane. When disposed the products will biodegrade within six months, leaving no trace of microplastics or toxic residues. Environmental awareness is making consumers choose products that do not harm the environment. Presently, sustainability and recyclability is driving growth in the packaging industry.
However, careless disposal, home composting or backyard composting are not recommended for these products. Users can contact the company or local municipality for guidelines on proper disposal of these bags.
