Global brands switch to sustainable packaging amid coronavirus pandemic

With increasing awareness and harmful effect of plastics to the environment, many global brands are switching to eco-friendly solutions for packaging. Sustainable solutions like paper packaging and folding cartons are gaining popularity among top brands across the world.

Paper packaging is going to be the game changer when it comes to safe, attractive and recyclable packaging. Shift towards innovation in eco-friendly and sustainable packaging is an emerging trend further driving demand of paper packaging.

Recently, L’Oréal announced it was stepping up its sustainability drive with a shake-up of the packaging of its beauty products. Under the plan, 100% of the plastic used for packaging will be made from recycled or bio-based sources by 2030. While L’Oréal’s environmental impact had long been a focus, this was “a new phase of acceleration of that transformation”, the company said.
