Paper packaging gains momentum during the pandemic

As the pandemic continues, lockdowns and curfews are making people stay at home and work from home further creating interest in home cooking and baking. Earlier aluminium foil was used as packaging material however ill effects of aluminum foil and cling film on human health and environment is driving popularity of paper packaging.

Paper food packaging is made of 100% pure wood pulp, and it is safe to use and environment friendly. Paper-based products like Uniwraps by companies like ODDY is offering a safe and hygienic alternative to aluminium foil. Uniwraps is also better than butter paper as it is food safety certified and is 100% non-stick, greaseproof, and microwave oven safe. It can be reheated without removing the wrap & is also suitable for deep-freeze packing.

With extra time on hand, people are experimenting with baking, snacks, or any other dish, for which they require the food paper for wrapping or cooking. Presently, the products are available across India in retail stores, modern trade stores and e-commerce stores.

Moreover, the company is planning to enhance their business in tier II & III cities of India this year. The company has signed with LT foods for a vast distribution network across India and abroad as they are expecting a growth of five times more this year.
