Gujarat Government makes an attractive offer to Tesla to set up plant – Reports
With electric vehicle giant planning to make an entry in India, several states are gearing up to make lucrative offers to get the premium company set up manufacturing plant in their state, as per reports.
In a bid to attract, Elon Musk’s Tesla, state of Gujrat has offered nearly 1,000 acres of land in Mundra on the Kutch coast to the premium company, according to news reports. Whereas other states such as Maharashtra and Karnataka have already made an offer.
Being coastal states, all three states offer Tesla an easy link to West Asian and African markets, but the company has made no announcement so far where it is going to base itself in India. However, the latest offer by the Gujarat government has come months after the carmaker set up its India office by registering the firm in Bengaluru.
