Tata group plans to venture into semiconductor manufacturing

According to a news report, Tata group has recently announced that it is planning to foray into semiconductor manufacturing and in order to seize the opportunity it has already set up a business.

With supply chains heavily dependent on China, it is expected that in the post-pandemic era this will change as many businesses are shifting to other countries to avoid future disruptions.

In order to create a seamless supply chain, India can benefit from global shifts. Tata group has already set up a business to seize the promise of high-tech manufacturing for electronics. A domestic electronics industry could unlock $1 trillion in GDP and create millions of jobs.The news comes amid the current shortage of semiconductors being faced by automobile makers further hitting their businesses.
