Ola goes for ABB as Robotics and Automation solutions provider for EV manufacturing facility
Popular Cab service Ola has announced that it has chosen ABB as one of its key partners for robotics and automation solutions for its electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, according to media reports.
The ride-haling major is planning to use automation solution by ABB in its factory's key manufacturing process lines, such as painting and welding lines. Moreover, ABB robots will be deployed extensively for the battery and motor assembly lines, as per the statement.
The new technologies would be ABB's paint and Integrated Dressing robots in its painting and welding lines as well as robots for assembly and material handling in the battery and motor assembly areas. In addition, ABB robots will also be digitally integrated into Ola's AI-enabled factory to optimise robot performance, productivity and product quality.
The use of automation and robotics will enable digital connectivity remotely. The company plans to roll out electric scooters in record speed with the use of these latest technologies which are going to enhance productivity.
