Nestle India plans to recycle 100% packaging by 2025

As per reports, FMCG major Nestle India has planned to set an ambitious target of recycling or reusing its entire packaging by 2025. The aim of the FMCG giant is to decrease its carbon footprint and emission of greenhouse gases.

Non-recyclable packaging is one of the major contributors of wastage and pollution. Climate change is another reality, which cannot be ignored anymore. Also, rising consumer awareness if further fostering growth of sustainable packaging solutions. Addressing this will require a multi-stakeholder approach to collaborate and monitor progress, laying the foundation for a better world.

In view of the same, Nestlé India has been accelerating their actions towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions across their manufacturing locations and transport of goods. The Gurgaon-headquartered company is also preparing the blueprint to become waste free.
